Think big, or is it big think?

Damn look at that shine, oh sorry, just caught the brightest off the mirror from the distant sunset. Peaceful and freeing I tell ya, kinda like being released from prison, even though I’ve never been incarnated.

This one might be a bit of an off topic post, I’m just made some realisations and in turn some new goals as well.

One of the reasons I’m so passionate about this self-development vibe is that it has transformed my entire life. And remarkably in less than three years too. Don’t get me wrong, it took a lot of work and a lot of lonely nights where I left felt behind.

However, doing a stock take of my life and goals. I’ve come to the conclusion, that I attained all the goals that I set 3 years ago. Now, I’m in the space where I need to come up with new goals which everyday people would think are crazy. The reason why, is where I am now, seemed unattainable all those years ago, but here I am.

The haunting thing is, having achieved what I wanted, I don’t have that killer, do or die, attitude to life. What I mean by that is that I have lost a bit of that hunger, so that means I need to set up my next biggest journey in life. I can now see it’s faint sparkle in the night sky.

Whatever your mind focuses on, is what it moves towards. A lot of people in life focus on things of no substance. It’s content, sure, but for the most part it is vapid and has them coming away with regrets. Take some time now, to stop and think about where you are and where you’re heading.

Depending on your current place in your journey you might be in the same situation as I am, where a new course needs to be charted, one with a lofty destination. Or you might need a recalibration of your goals. Either way, take 10 minutes to write down what your goals are. Then decide whether in 3-5 years, would that be the most ideal situation for your future self. If it isn’t, or you feel that there is something missing, that means your heart knows that there is something more you could be, you just have to learn what’s missing.

If need be, be as outlandish as possible, when it comes to that extra goal would round out your future self. Lastly, decide on an action you can take today to advance towards that goal.

Self-help gets a bad rap; people accuse it of being a cult. The reality is that is more akin to a religious experience, but the salvation comes in the here and now, not in the afterlife.

I’m starting to ramble so I’ll stop here, but just think about it.

My Hedites, leave a like and follow, like always more to come.
